Allen Miner

Founder & CEO of SunBridge

Mr. Miner was born in 1961 in Utah, United States. After graduating from Brigham Young University in 1986, he joined Oracle Corporation in the United States. From 1987 he assisted in the launch of Oracle Japan as its first representative and laid the foundation for growth of record-setting magnitude. Even after that he continued taking an active part in the management of Oracle Corporation’s headquarters in the United States. As the representative director of SunBridge which was established in 1999 solely on Mr. Miner’s own funding, he invested in venture businesses such as IT Media, Salesforce.com, OKWave, Gaia X, Macromill and G-mode, and undertook IPO’s for no less than seven companies.
He has invested in over 55 venture businesses thus far, making him an active contributor to the discovery and development of new businesses and industries. In 2007, he was included in Forbes Magazine’s Midas list as a venture capitalist considered to have made remarkable contributions to the value growth of venture businesses in Japan. Furthermore, he was a founding member of the Japan Venture Capital Association and currently serves as its adviser. In February 2011, he participated as a U.S. representative in a roundtable discussion part of “U.S.-Japan Dialogue to Promote Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Job Creation”, an event hosted at Stanford University by the U.S. Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and JETRO. His publications include “I’m Betting on Japan” (Shoeisha, 2001), and a contribution to “Reimagining Japan: The Quest for a Future That Works” (VIZ Media LLC, 2011).
Narimasa Makino

Narimasa Makino has started to work for Future Venture Capital since 2005, where he gained experience in private equity. He worked as an incubation manager at ASTEM in Kyoto to support business planning of entrepreneurs from 2009 - 2011, He has joined SunBridge as a business incubation manager of GVH Osaka and also invested startups as a member of Sunbridge Startups LLP. He focused on business incubation of startup within the IT & Service. Also he set up Founder Institute Kansai that is an acceleration program for entrepreneurs in Osaka on 2014. Then he has started Makers Boot Camp is an acceleration program for hardware startups. MBA graduate from Kobe University.
Satoshi Kabasawa

Engaged in research and development on speech processing technology at the Panasonic Corporate R&D, and then in 1998 launched the corporate venture capital division (Panasonic Digital Concepts Center (PDCC)/ the present Panasonic Ventures) in the US Silicon Valley and operated PDCC as Managing Director. Executed strategic investments of more than 100 million dollars, and achieved almost the same amount of exits.  Meanwhile, through leveraging strategic investment, successfully conducted open innovation such as new product development and joint development with advanced technology venture, and served as specially appointed professor

in charge of educational research in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship at Ritsumeikan University School of Science and Technology, Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance, etc., At 2012, concurrently appointed as specially appointed professor at Osaka University and also engaged in educational research and human resource development in the same field. For three years in San Francisco since 2014, promoted education and research alliance with universities in North American arena as Director of Osaka University North American Center for Academic Initiatives.
Since April 2017, has been focusing on supporting entrepreneurs of young people primarily as Chief Habitat Officer at SunBridge Global Ventures Inc. Concurrently serving as Invited Professor at Osaka University and Senior Researcher at Keio Research Institute of SFC. "Entrepreneur's Business Administration" (vol.1 - 3), etc. in his book/translation. Completed PhD program at Osaka University Graduate School of Engineering. (PhD)

Tugi Gunes

Tugi was born and raised in Switzerland with Turkish heritage. His many interests lead him from a ETH Zurich Master's degree in systems biology to positions in telecommunications, health care and wealth management. In his last position he was promoting and supporting innovation projects within UBS (global bank) when he realized the potential of the startup ecosystem in Kansai. After months of volunteering for different organisations, he then joined SunBridge Global Ventures and is now supporting entrepreneurship in and around Osaka through various content and events. He has an eye for design and creative content as well as experience in problem solving approaches and project management.

Michitoshi Mori

Mori Michitoshi practices corporate law in the area of transactions and general corporate counseling. Mr. Mori represents venture capital investors, multinational and domestic corporations (public and private) in a wide spectrum of corporate finance transactions, including private equity and venture capital investments, institutional private placements, cross-border transactions, debt and equity structuring transactions, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures and strategic alliances.
He also has experience in fund formation of venture capital funds. Michitoshi serves as outside counsel for many mid-sized companies on issues of corporate governance, Japanese securities law compliance, general commercial transactions, intellectual properties strategies and disclosure issues. His clients represent a wide variety of industries from Internet-based businesses and companies in the retail and consumer products industries. He was a partner of AZX Law Offices, the most experienced law firm for startups and venture capital in Japan. In 2010, he moved to Osaka, joined his father's firm and became the CEO of the firm. On September in 2017, he established the new law firm, Axis International Law Offices, with his co-founders and has been a managing partner. Takuji Shibuya
